The Miya Model is made using anatomically accurate parts that have a realistic feel of skin, organ size, mobility, and texture. In addition, palpation of key bony landmarks and important surgical anatomy like the sacrospinous ligament and obturator membrane are highlights of the anatomy.
With the Miya Model, resident learning practitioners can easily perform realistic simulations of basic pelvic exams and a variety of other office procedures, over and over again. With a basic skillset obtained through practice on the simulation model, learning practitioners will gain confidence in the field, allowing for formative assessments on standardized patients.

The Miya Model has been approved and accepted by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists as a method of simulation training for gynecological exams and office procedures. An entire curriculum has been developed and made publicly available using the Miya Model for all training modules in the series. The approved curriculum modules cover the basic industry-standard, gynecological examinations, and office procedures.
